Marisa and Dan Wed at the Westward Look!

I loved Marisa and Dan instantly. They were very easy to talk to and quick with a laugh. We shared some things in common, including two of my favorites: Wisconsin and Italy. Their wedding day was uncharacteristically cold for Arizona. It was raining for most of the morning and it snowed on the mountains. It was chi-i-i-illy!!! Marisa and Dan were unfazed and they let their love and excitement warm them. There is nothing I love more at a wedding than an undeterred bride and groom. Let’s do this!!!

Marisa’s shoes were fabulous and one of her favorite aspects of the day. :)

Dan does this hand kiss a lot. It is awesome.

Andrea and Tyler’s wedding was super dope. I am so glad that they chose me as their photographer and trusted me to capture all of their awesomeness. Andrea’s got style for days and she knows how to work it! She nearly knocked me dead with the feather head piece she wore for the reception. Tyler is a riot. He’s super quick with a great smile. This was the first wedding I’ve photographed where the groom subbed in for the dj!!! For a looong time!! I was in heaven.

Ashley and Jon’s wedding day was one of the most gorgeous days I have ever seen. Add to that a fantastic outdoor venue, a one-of-a-kind bride-designed dress, a gorgeous bride, a groom with an uproarious and contagious laugh, and a beautiful daughter, Mazel, and you have the essential elements that created the magic of Ashley and Jon’s wedding. Thanks to Sergio for coming with me and kicking ass as usual. ;)

Lesley and Ryan’s La Paloma Love Down.

I had so much fun at this wedding. Lesley and Ryan are super easy going and hilarious. Lesley was really expressive and I love that, she kept me busy trying to capture all of her looks. Lesley’s mom was definitely one of the best MOB’s ever. Midwestern peeps always make me feel comfortable. Everyone felt like family, like they had all known and loved each other their whole lives. The ceremony at La Paloma was sweet, emotional, beautiful and flawless. The reception was all about cupcakes, beer and gettin’ down. What more can one ask for? :)

Sarah, Tony, Bug and Bean.

Sarah and Tony’s wedding had a lot of the elements that make me a very happy photographer: a great love story, DIY all over the place and KIDS! Sarah is the mother of two lovely children; “Bean” and “Bug.” It was amazing watching her balance being a mother with being a bride on her wedding day. She blew me away with her attentiveness and serenity. Even though she was a bride she never once stopped being a mother. Sarah writes about her pre and post wedding experiences with Tony, Bean and Bug on her hilarious and entertaining blog Inconceivable Life. Sarah and Tony are madly in love and there is nothing that makes me want to work harder.

Ringo and Madeline + Animals

I think that Ringo and Madeline’s engagement session was my first ever session with humans + animals. ;) I was really excited. Ringo, Madeline, Stuart, Benjamin, Fang and Chester did not disappoint. Though Chester was less enthusiastic than the rest of the clan, he stuck it out for a few.

I love the photos, I had so much fun and I am definitely looking forward to another human + animal session!

Jessica and John’s backyard bash!

Like the majority of my clients, I never met Jessica and John prior to their wedding day. I knew that they liked my work and they were comfortable signing the contract based on our email conversations. For me, not meeting until the wedding day is really exciting. I have no idea what to expect and I love surprises. Especially good ones like Jessica and John! They are gorgeous to look at , it was a pleasure spending the day with them and their friends and family absolutely embraced Jen and I.

Jessica and John chose Jessica’s parents house as their venue. It was a gorgeous backyard wedding. The light couldn’t have been more beautiful for their ceremony. I was giddy.
